adidas

2015 – Present

I currently work for adidas, where I lead a team responsible for above the line brand marketing in North America. I direct seasonal strategies, brand campaigns, community activations, digital experiences, and on the ground events. We communicate what adidas believes in. Most recently, that has meant a focus on inclusivity, diversity, and sustainability.

Wieden+Kennedy

2011 – 2015

Wieden+Kennedy has a giant neon sign that says “Hire Wrong” and that’s how I got a job there. Coming from a background of Art History and non-profit art museums, W+K taught me the fundamentals of advertising at a breakneck pace. I worked on a variety of accounts including Nike, Target, Coca-Cola, Old Spice, P&G, Sony, Kraft, Travel Oregon, Travel Portland, and many more. I led digital strategies in partnership with creative teams from brief through execution across Super Bowl, Olympics, product launches, and brand campaigns.

The Art Institute of Chicago

2007 – 2011

I began my career in museums. After a year working for the University of Michigan Museum of Art, I moved to Chicago and landed in Public Affairs at the Art Institute of Chicago. It was early days social media then, so I pitched and created the museum’s first Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr accounts. I developed strategies, content calendars, and tracked insights. It was a much simpler time. I also assisted in the opening of The Modern Wing, a 264,000 square foot addition to the museum in 2009 that garnered international coverage and got to meet lots of famous old artists like Cy Twombly and Ellsworth Kelly.

Other things I like to do include spontaneous dancing with my four year old, a good nap with my 1 year old, running long distances, and sewing rectangular shaped things.
